Validate measured artifact constraints

Measure the produced artifact against its delivery constraints and apply targeted corrections.

Editorially reviewed

These examples and illustrative results are independently authored teaching materials, not measured model results.

Use case

Create a GIF under a teaching contract of 128×128 pixels and at most 65,536 bytes. Smooth animation may still exceed size limits; this is a supplied example limit, not current platform policy.

Mechanism

Retain requested dimensions, units and constraints. Measure final file bytes, pixel size, frames and duration. Identify failed conditions and adjust relevant frames/colors/dimensions without violating fixed-size requirements. Remeasure and view the actual export; rendered screenshots also require ready fonts/images and explicit device scale. Report final identity/values and invalidate evidence after edits.

Bad example

The GIF looks good, so call it upload-ready. If oversized, quietly reduce it to 64×64 without checking required dimensions.

Good example

Check the final GIF against 128×128 and 65,536 bytes. If 70,000 bytes, revise frames or palette while preserving dimensions, then remeasure and watch it. Report file identity and each constraint. Unmeasured means unmeasured; appearance alone is not readiness.

Why the change matters

Visual quality and technical constraints require separate evidence. Targeted edits and remeasurement prevent satisfying one requirement by breaking another. File identity binds checks to delivery.

Observable expectation

Teaching size 70,000 exceeds the limit by 4,464 bytes. A revision of 60,000 bytes at 128×128 satisfies these two conditions but still needs visual inspection.256×256 fails dimensions even if size passes. These numbers are illustrative traces.

Limits

Verify current platform policy separately. CSS viewport and exported pixels differ, with DPR2 potentially doubling dimensions. Delay alone does not establish asset readiness. Size success proves neither service acceptance, safety nor every player.
