Autonomous PR Feedback Resolution
Verify review feedback before implementing or disputing it.
These examples and illustrative results are independently authored teaching materials, not measured model results.
Use case
A reviewer calls a lock redundant, but the teaching code has two callers performing non-atomic read-modify-write. Both can read zero then write one, losing an increment; the lock protects that update. Verify the suggestion before agreeing or disputing it.
Mechanism
Inspect implementation, callers and contracts, identifying the requested change and its evidence. For a protected shared update, prepare a located execution-sequence explanation. If an atomic operation actually makes the lock redundant, remove it within authorization and verify. Record evidence/results/unknowns separately from permission to reply or resolve a remote thread.
Bad example
Agree immediately, remove the lock and resolve the remote thread without reading callers or checking affected concurrency.
Good example
Inspect the lock and two non-atomic callers. Cite the read-zero/write-one lost-update sequence and locations. If the contract remains, explain the protected responsibility rather than deleting from reviewer tone. If later evidence establishes atomic updates, remove locally under scope and run relevant checks. Record conclusion/open items without unauthorized remote posting/resolution.
Why the change matters
Feedback is a claim to validate. Immediate agreement or personal preference skips evidence. Connecting comments to callers/triggers distinguishes an implementation repair from a reasoned retained design and from remote thread actions.
Observable expectation
The fixture retains the lock with non-atomic evidence; an atomic-update variant needs its corresponding checks before another conclusion. Each disposition identifies evidence, changes and check status instead of merely resolved.
Preserve unread callers and unexecuted checks as unknown, without automatically changing remote status.
Limits
One schedule establishes its particular risk, not every outcome. Clarify material ambiguities and related items before changes. This is a teaching review, not a real PR operation.
